Day 1:
From
Johannesburg we will travel to the Mozambique border where we hit the
4x4 track to Ponta Mamoli in Southern Mozambique. This is where we stay
for the first night. We will be staying amongst the amazing indigenous
trees and white beaches of Mozambique. The evening will be spend
socializing while enjoying a unforgettable meal with fellow
divers. (Dinner)
Day 2-3:
The next two
days we will be enjoying two dives a day in the warm waters
of Mozambique with visibility rarely less than 20 meters, and water
temperature in the region of 27+ degrees Celsius. All the reefs have an
abundance of fish life and amazing reefs. Each launching from
a semi-rigid dive boat. This evenings will be spend relaxing around the
camp fire and socializing. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 4:
Today we
will return to civilization, and travel through rural Zululand. On route
we will stop over at the Natal Sharks Board were we will attend the
audiovisual show and display of sharks, rays and turtles endemic to the
area. There after we will transfer to the diving village of Umkomaas where
we will spend the next two nights. After dinner we will do the dive
brief and prepare for the diving in the morning. (Breakfast)
Day 5: Today
will be an early rise and start the first of two dives for the day at
Protea Banks. This site is rated as one of the world's best shark
diving spots and certainly one of the most adventurous! An exiting
launch through the surf takes us to the Southern Pinnacles where we
search for the Bull Sharks that hunt on this reef. And of course there
will also be Tiger Sharks, Giant Guitar Sharks, several other shark
species and rays such as devil, manta, bull, as well. Visibility on the
reef varies from 8 to 40 meters, and the water temperatures are around
24+ degrees Celsius. The afternoon is spent at your leisure. We may even
have a trip to Oribi gorge and other excursions are available which will
be for your own expense. (Breakfast)
Day 6:
Today will
be an early rise and start the first of two dives for the day at Protea
Banks or Aliwal shoal. This site is rated as one of the world's best
shark diving spots and certainly one of the most adventurous! An exiting
launch through the surf takes us to the Southern Pinnacles where we
search for the Bull Sharks that hunt on this reef. And of course there
will also be Tiger Sharks, Giant Guitar Sharks, several other
shark species and rays such as devil, manta, bull, as well. Visibility
on the reef varies from 8 to 40 meters, and the water temperatures are
around 24+ degrees Celsius. The afternoon is spent at your leisure. We
may even take a trip to Oribi gorge which will be for your own expense

Day 7:
Today we
will make our way back to Johannesburg and sadly the end of our
exiting safari. (Breakfast)
